Griffith's Gnat and Renegade

At least one of these two patterns should be a standard in your box. They effectively imitate a variety of small insect life from midges to mayflies. They work almost everywhere and if you head into the high country, they will match the small insect life found in the mountain lakes and streams.

Favorite Sizes

Naturals range from 16 in the peak summer down to small 24 in the winter. If you head to high mountain lakes, carry a size 18 or 20.
