Pale Morning Dun

During the summer, a PMD hatch can happen at almost anytime of the day form early morning to late evening from late June to September. There may be times when they are hatching twice at different times during the same day. During the summer months, the nymphs are active and consistently are turning up in samples of the river. This means that they are available to trout all day.
Picking Confidence Patterns:
You don't need to do anything fancy here. PMDs can be imitated with your standard mayfly patters, just shrink the size to about a 18 to 20 hook
